What is Quiet Depth?
About the depth psychology membership for thoughtful high-achievers, created by Dr. Anna Worthing
What is depth psychology?

Depth psychology is a broad term. The field of depth psychology grew out of the foundational work of psychiatrist C. G. Jung, and has been expanded upon over the last century by thinkers such as June Singer, John A. Sanford, Jean Shinoda Bolen, James Hollis, Marion Woodman, Robert A. Johnson, among many others.
Depth psychology is a psychological framework that is interested in the relationship between our conscious and unconscious mind, and in exploring those recurring patterns that drive our behaviours and emotions.
Engaging in depth psychology work lets us develop a more nuanced, detailed understanding of the fears, desires, patterns, and hopes that keep showing up in our day-to-day lives. Once we have more insight into our own patterns, we're able to stop living in reactive mode, and instead start to intentionally live with more discernment and in alignment with what we most value.

About Dr. Anna Worthing
I'm Dr. Anna Worthing, the creator of Quiet Depth. I'm a practicing psychotherapist and physician (I hold an MD and a PhD) with a particular interest in how insights from depth psychology can be helpful to busy modern folks.
Why I use a pen-name
As a clinical psychotherapist, I'm particularly mindful of setting clear professional boundaries. I've therefore chosen to use a pen name in my work at Quiet Depth, to ensure sure that this project remains entirely separate and distinct from my clinical work.
Reminder: this is information, not medical advice or treatment

I use the Quiet Depth site and membership to share knowledge as a teacher and a guide, but am not directly acting in the capacity of a clinician or therapist through this website or the membership.
